Seriously Strong Training

Overview
We are hiring a Strength Trainer at Seriously Strong Training Tampa.
You already know how to coach. What you probably don’t have is a full book of clients handed to you, a written plan for every one of them, and a team that expects you to get better every week.
That is the job. You are a Personal Trainer by title and a Strength Coach by training — the human element of one with the technical knowledge of the other. You will not be hunting for your own clients, and you will not be selling. You will be coaching.
If you want consistency in your paychecks, security in your work environment and a supportive community, this is the job for you.
What the work looks like
Our company revolves around teamwork. On hiring you are paired with a mentor who takes you through a four-week onboarding — you learn our systems for helping clients make fitness a habit, while on the gym floor meeting clients and getting acquainted with our training techniques.
Once you are through onboarding you are assigned your own clients, and you keep meeting weekly with your mentor.
Every client is on a macrocycle — a structured, periodized plan you write and adjust, not a session you improvise on the floor.
The team lifts together regularly, attends SST Seminars, and meets every Thursday for team lunch followed by an hour of continued education and discussion. On the clock.
What it pays
$30 to $40 an hour.
Your first four weeks are paid at a flat $1,600 every two weeks while you learn our system. You are not building a client base on commission from day one.
After that, your rate moves with the level you are coaching at. Trainers move up by demonstrating competence.
Who this is for
- You are certified, and you think the certification was the floor rather than the ceiling.
- You would rather be corrected than left alone.
- You want to be in a gym with other coaches, not a lone wolf on someone else’s floor.
- You are hungry for growth and you have noticed you stopped getting any.

Our application is long on purpose. It asks you to write about real clients and real decisions, and we read every answer. Short, generic answers do not move forward — not to trip anyone up, but because the effort you put in here is the best early signal we have.
Set aside 30–45 minutes. You will need your Enneagram result and a copy of your resume.
