Is Lifting Just for Men?

No. Just no.

Strength training is not just for the big guys and gym bros you see walking around the weights area at your gym.

Girls lift too.

Strength training will play an important part in helping you reach your goals, no matter what they are. Consistent lifting will provide you with a multitude of benefits inside and outside of the gym.

I speak from personal experience when I say that lifting can change your life. When I started strength training I finally found a way to lose weight for good. Through training I grew stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. I changed the way I think about myself and about my life.

I want to share with all my ladies why I think they should lift too.

Increased Strength

Tire Battle

How many times have you struggled to carry your own luggage or pick something up in the store? By participating in strength training you will find tasks like carrying your child or taking out the trash way easier.

Strength training isn’t hard, being weak is.

INCREASED Confidence

Knowing what your body is capable of will change the way you view yourself.

One of my favorite experiences as a trainer was taking a client through an intense workout. As she finished flipping a tire she thought she couldn’t, she turned to me and said “I’ve never felt so powerful in my life.” I had goosebumps.

Women are made in many ways to feel weak or small. Strength training is a celebration of being the strongest version of yourself.

Bigger Booty

30 day body weight squat challenges will leave you sore but will only get you so far when it comes to growing your glutes. Cardio will help you burn calories but don’t count on it leaving you with toned legs and a bigger booty.

Loaded exercises like the squat, deadlift, and hip thrust are far superior when it comes to growing glorious glutes.

Stronger Bones

Flex

Nobody likes to talk about it but strong bones and maintaining their strength is pretty important. As women age we lose density in our bones which can lead to an increased chance of broken bones as we age.

Axial loaded exercises like the squat and deadlift have been shown to increase bone mineral density and preserve it following hormonal shifts like menopause.

A Seriously strong mindset

When you learn to push yourself in the gym you will learn to push yourself in your everyday life. Strength training will teach you that you’re capable of so much more than you ever thought possible. If you can push through the hard days in the gym, the hard days in life won’t seem so bad.

Getting started is easier said than done. Trust me, I know. Let me and my team be the push you need to get you started on this life changing journey. Schedule a free consultation to see how we can help you!
