Personal Training for Beginners

Our specialty is teaching beginners how to move well and lift weights correctly. Movements are broken down into the simplest, easiest to learn forms for the most efficient and safest progress.

You will receive constant and precise feedback on what you are doing well, and what you could be doing better. Sessions are at your pace, 1-on-1. Never in a group setting.

Learning a new skill is tough, and the thought of other gym-goers watching your every move makes it tougher. At SST you can learn in a judgement-free, private facility where everyone is on the same mission: to look & feel better.

build Muscle

Compound barbell movements will build every muscle in your body and develop your strength & power. Men can expect to add 20lbs of muscle to your body in the first year of serious, dedicated training. Women will develop a firm, toned look in that first year of training.

burn Fat

The movements used in a strength training for fat loss program are full body exercises that burn maximum calories during and after your workouts. Each pound of muscle gained will speed up your weight loss by increasing your metabolism.

More muscle=more fat loss.

Get Toned

“Skinny Fat” is the term used for normal sized people with no muscle. In the medical field, this is known as “metabolically obese normal weight”. It means you aren’t a “fat guy/girl”, but you certainly aren’t fit & healthy.

Strength training is your answer. Use free weights to build muscle, burn fat, and build a lean, sexy body.

How it works

First

Schedule a consultation. Tour the gym, meet the staff, ask questions, and tell us about yourself.

From there we will develop a one year “macrocycle” program based on your goals. This program is data driven, broken down into three month “mesocycles“, which are further divided into one month “microcycles“.

Mesocycles have specific objectives & milestone goals designed to progress you towards your one year goals. Microcycles are made up of the actions like program focuses and homework assignments necessary to reach your goals.

Second

Start training. Get strong. Lose weight. Build muscle. Learn strength training.

Third

Show off your success. Take the skills you’ve learned, the body you have made, and the confidence you have created out into the world.
